Fundraising Policy
Our fundraising promise
We are CPRE Herefordshire, part of the CPRE network, and we’re working for a thriving and beautiful Herefordshire countryside that enriches all of our lives.
We simply wouldn’t exist without supporters like you. So when you become a member, campaigner or donor, we need you to know that we place the same importance on looking after your details as we do on looking after our countryside. Our fundraising promise to you includes some commitments from us:
You can choose to change how we contact you, or ask to stop hearing from us at any time, and we’ll respect that.
- We’ll only contact you if you’ve expressed an interest in our work.
- We’ll never sell your contact details to anyone.
- We’ll never share your contact details with anyone outside the CPRE network.
- We’ll only contact you by telephone if you have given us permission to do so.
- We do not engage in cold-calling, door-to-door, or street fundraising.
- We try hard to ensure no one ever feels pressured to support our work.
- We follow the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
All our activities are open, fair, honest and legal.
To find out more about how we look after your data, see our privacy policy here.
If you have any questions or wish to change how we communicate with you, please email admin@cpreherefordshire.org.uk.
Thank you to all our supporters for continuing to stand with the Herefordshire countryside alongside us.
Fundraising on our behalf
We’re enormously grateful to everyone who chooses to raise money for CPRE Herefordshire through their own events and activities, whether that’s a sponsored walk, a bake sale, a raffle, or a fundraising page on a platform such as JustGiving.
If you’d like to fundraise on our behalf, please contact us first at admin@cpreherefordshire.org.uk so that we can support you and make sure your activity is set up correctly. Getting in touch first helps us to:
- Confirm you’re able to use the CPRE Herefordshire name and logo correctly.
- Make sure any collection, raffle or lottery you’re planning has the right permissions or licences in place.
- Direct you to the safest way to pass on any money you raise.
- Say thank you properly.
Please note that CPRE Herefordshire cannot take responsibility for the organisation, safety, or legal compliance of independently run fundraising events, and any such activity should have its own appropriate insurance and risk assessment in place. If you plan to collect money in a public place, you may need a licence from your local council.
If you’re raising money through an online platform such as JustGiving, please make sure the fundraising page is genuinely linked to CPRE Herefordshire (registered charity number 1194146), so that your donations reach us correctly and any eligible Gift Aid can be claimed. Please do not use CPRE Herefordshire’s name, logo or registered charity number to raise funds without first getting our permission.
