A peek at the original HCPRE minute book of Jan 1934 highlights concern over potential building plots at Dinmore Hill...
These 157 acres were purchased by HCPRE volunteers & members. They form part of the now Queenswood Country Park.
The minutes of 4th Feb 1935 note the committee were approached regarding a larger scheme to preserve the whole of Dinmore Hill as a public park in memorial for the Silver Jubilee of King George V, (our Queen’s grandfather).
How different could Dinmore Hill look now if not for those volunteers..?
