Practical local action for sustainability - Ledbury has its very own e-bike!

Ledbury Area Cycle Forum are hoping to reach those of us who find local hills and windy days too much like hard work on a regular bicycle, but want to avoid creating yet more pollution and congestion in our cars.   Thanks to funding from the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, topped up by the Colwall Car Club, Ledbury now hosts its very own community e-bike, which people can borrow for a fortnight to ‘test-ride’ free of charge.  Among their many advantages, e-bikes are much cheaper and 'greener' to run than a car (1000 mpg equivalent and zero-carbon if charged with renewable electricity) and once people have enjoyed their trial the scheme will offer help in choosing  the right bike to buy.
