From Friday to Sunday this weekend you can spend an enjoyable hour watching wildlife in your garden, from inside the house if you prefer, and help protect our British birdlife. The RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch is here again and your count can help identify problems for some of our favourite garden species. And show where we're getting things right for British birds!
For example, the Big Garden Birdwatch was one of the first surveys to identify the decline of song thrushes and spotting a problem like that is the first step towards putting it right.
It's easy to complete, and if you're not certain of your bird knowledge there's identification guides available from the RSPB (or click here). Your count this year will add to over 40 years of data!
