VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES WITH CPRE HEREFORDSHIRE

Do you like generating ideas and being part of a team who make a real difference?

We are seeking volunteers to join our Executive Committee

Retaining the character of Herefordshire yet supporting development and growth is about deciding what is appropriate and supporting that, whilst opposing plans that are inappropriate.

CPRE Herefordshire campaigns for a sustainable future for our beautiful county. Herefordshire is still one of England's more rural counties. Its beautiful countryside, interspersed with historic market towns and villages, continues to support a traditional way of life.

Our core work involves working within the planning system to influence the protection of countryside character. Through reasoned argument and lobbying, we seek to influence public opinion and decision-makers at every level.
The Branch Committee work very hard to ensure that our views are heard where it matters - where the decisions are taken.
We advise members and non-members on planning issues and frequently comment on landscape issues.

Skills we are looking for include: An understanding of committee work, an interest in or experience of planning matters, environmental issues or working with the media.
